Google’s Nexus One Phone

The The Wall Street Journal reports that Google will sell Nexus One directly as an unlocked unsubsidized model. It’s thinner than an iPhone, with no physical keyboard and will run Android on Qualcomm’s Snapdragon chip. Manufactured by HTC , the Nexus One will have two microphones, a 5 megapixel camera and a scroll wheel.

Google employees have already started using the Nexus One and it should be available to the pubic directly through Google, starting in January 2010. Specs filed with FCC: microSD expansion, 802.11b/g Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 2.1 + EDR, and covers quad-band GSM/GPRS/EDGE with UMTS/HSUPA on 850/1,700/1,900 frequencies.
