Google Points To Mobile As Top Growth Area For 2010

During Google’s earnings call today, CEO Eric Schmidt indicated that mobile will be the number one growth area at Google during 2010, as a result of widespread adoption of smart phones. With the incorporation of personalization, mobile social networking and local features, Jonathan Rosenberg, Google SVP of product management said “There is potential to make this mobile web better than the PC web.” Rosenberg said advertisers are using mobile as a way to increase click-through rates. Further, targeting tools, apps and analytics are improving monetization rates.
