U.S.A. Breaks Winter Olympics Medals Records

February 25, 2010

U.S. athletes are on the threshold of topping the Winter Olympics overall medal count for the first time since Lake Placid in 1932. The U.S. also broke a record for daily medals, winning six on day 6 of the Vancouver games. The current medal count of 32 by the U.S. athletes is the highest medal total for a team not competing on home soil.

Also of interest is the following video showing how the medals were uniquely created by a Canadian Aboriginal First Nations artist.
