iPhone4 Antenna Problem – Fixed By End Of Next Week

June 26, 2010

When new iPhone 4 users started complaining about a signal strength and reception problem, Apple CEO Steve Jobs called it a non-issue. Apple advised users to hold it differently, use a covering case or a Bluetooth device. But the complaints won’t stop and the “phone” part of the iPhone has always fallen short.

It turns out the “non-issue” has become a big issue and Apple engineers have been burning the midnight oil testing solutions. According to a report by Daniel Eran Dilger of AppleInsider, an iOS 4.0.1 software fix addressing the issue could be available for download early next week. The software fix is supposedly designed to fix a calibration problem that occurs when radio frequencies are switched.

Let’s hope the fix turns out to be quick and easy.
